Ten organisations across six countries – Spain, Belgium, Italy, Greece, Germany and the Netherlands – share the work of ORIGINS. The consortium was assembled so that research, engineering, real-world settings and long-term uptake stay connected from the first day, instead of being handed on stage by stage.

i2CAT coordinates the project and, together with KU Leuven, XTEAM Software Solutions, VOLUM Technologies and Vrije Universiteit Brussel, forms its research and engineering base – the holoportation pipelines, multimodal systems, generative-AI models, and the human-centred methods used to evaluate them.

Four organisations turn that technology into lived experience. The Museum of Cycladic Art, TEO Training, Fondazione Alghero and Schön Klinik Bad Aibling host the four pilots, bringing real audiences, learners, visitors and patients – and the hands-on knowledge that keeps the work grounded.

Sound leads the project’s impact work, so the results don’t stop at the final demonstration: dissemination and community-building, exploitation and business modelling, open science and standardisation all sit in one place and are planned from the outset.
